Vol 3: Heidelberg Ephemera

Monday 16th May 1966, the evening that Frances Foote went to hear acclaimed pianist Adam Harasiewicz perform Chopin at the Stadhalle in Heidelberg. Sunday 2nd March 2014, the morning the ticket to this particular concert was discovered amongst a collection of other assorted ephemera at a car boot fair in Chiswick, documenting the one-year Frances spent abroad in Germany back in the mid sixties. Many trips to the theatre, a cinema ticket to see 'Licht im Dunkelm' directed by Arthur Penn in 1962 and receipts from every purchase. Seemingly inconsequential wrappers from sugar cubes, and tags from toy teddy bears, begin to demonstrate the habits of a committed collector. For whatever reason, this diverse collection catalogues a short period of time in a life that intrigued us enough to discover more about Frances. We would like to think that Frances would have been proud that her little collection has finally seen the light of day again.
